FIELD STUDY

Field and project studies are executed according to following rational:

SITUATION ANALYSIS

• information gathering and verification regarding historical background and origin of threat (conflict);
• familiarization with relevant governmental authorities, coordination agencies and legal/regulatory regime;
• determination of government and/or insurgent intentions regarding proposed clearance program;
• determination of local clearance capabilities and available resources;
• review and analysis of past and current clearance operations.

• analysis and physical verification of mine and/or UXO threat;
• determination of geographic, topographic, meteorological and technical factors as well as major constraints, oppotunities and risks;
• assessment of social/economic impact; identification of principal beneficiaries and other affected parties;
• determination of logical resources and constraints.
