PROJECT PLANNING
Each clearance and land reclamation project presents a unique set of technical, logistical, operational and cultural/political challenges. To fully integrate all these factors into coherent, practical, and effective program requires a proven professional approach coupled to deep understanding of mine action operations.
CROSSTECH adopts a meticoulous approach to planning, ensuring that a comprehensive proposal is presented to the client covering every aspect of efficient and safe deployment of resources in cost-effective manner. Particular attention is paid to anticipating unexpected circumstances which can be expensive in terms of time and money.

CROSSTECH initial consultation with a client is generally a brief. high-level discussion intended to establish the project scope.

CROSSTECH expects that project sponsors will be prepared to provide the following basic information:

  • a statement of the overall scope of work and geographical extension of the project;
  • a description of principal objectives, priorities and preferences;
  • the identification of principal involved parties and their respective roles;
  • targeted sorces of funding and budget lines;
  • the desired timeable and milestones to final completion.
CROSSTECH teams will then seek to elicit the following additional information:
  • the availability of maps to minefields and key technical information regarding minses and UXO, etc;
  • specific conditions, limitations and constaints beyond the client's control, including, among others;
  • Political conditions and cultural factors;
  • Government regulations (national mine action standards) and existing mine action capabilities and ongoing operations
  • climate conditions, weather cycles, topography, geology, etc.
  • Import-Export regulations, applicable tax regime;
  • Logistics, including transaport, communications, provisioning.
